Portmeririon pottery Collecting
Portmeririon was bought to fame by Clough Williams-Ellis who built the village in 1925/75 on a peninsula off the coast of Snowdonia in north Wales. Portmeirion is owned by a Registered Charity called The Second Portmeirion Foundation and  now managed by Portmeirion Limited.
Portmeirion Pottery. The Portmeirion Pottery was established by Susan Williams-Ellis and husband Euan Cooper-Willis in 1960 & has a large following of collectors from all over the world. Portmeirion Potteries Ltd is a British ceramic manufacturer based in Stoke-on-Trent. We are a significant force in the pottery industry with a strong international following and an established reputation for high quality and innovative design. Portmeirion manufactures an extensive range of tableware, bake ware, kitchen ware and giftware which are marketed with a wide range of co-ordinating accessories in diverse materials. Portmeirion is also actively involved in the distribution of complementary products from our selected worldwide partners. The group's manufacturing base is in Stoke-on-Trent, England.
In North America, Portmeirion USA, a wholly owned subsidiary company, distributes the product from a warehouse and office complex in Connecticut. The main US showroom is located in 41 Madison Avenue, New York. The group employs around 600 people in the UK, and approximately 40 in the United States. The company also has a joint venture in Canada, with office and showroom facilities in Toronto.

Portmeririon pottery clubs.
Since I formed Portmeirion Potteries with my husband, Euan Cooper-Willis, forty or so years ago, we have seen the company develop into an internationally renowned business. People like collecting Portmeirion and examples of my earlier designs are now bought and sold by the antique trade and may be found in many auction rooms, fetching well above the original cost. In view of this growing interest, we decided to start a Portmeirion Collectors Club. We have also recently added a new section for Portmeirion collectors and enthusiasts to share your stories, letters, poems and photographs.
