Portmeririon was bought to fame by Clough Williams-Ellis who built the village in 1925/75 on a peninsula off the coast of Snowdonia in north Wales. Portmeirion is owned by a Registered Charity called The Second Portmeirion Foundation and now managed by Portmeirion Limited.

Since I formed Portmeirion Potteries with my husband, Euan Cooper-Willis, forty or so years ago, we have seen the company develop into an internationally renowned business. People like collecting Portmeirion and examples of my earlier designs are now bought and sold by the antique trade and may be found in many auction rooms, fetching well above the original cost. In view of this growing interest, we decided to start a Portmeirion Collectors Club. We have also recently added a new section for Portmeirion collectors and enthusiasts to share your stories, letters, poems and photographs.
